Authorities and volunteers continue searching for 19-year-old Marly Kinney, who has been reported missing from Grayson Lake after a troubling incident that has raised serious questions. Family, friends, and the wider community remain hopeful as search efforts intensify in hopes of bringing Marly home safely.
According to reports, Marly was on a pontoon boat with a group of friends when she reportedly asked to stop near the shoreline to use the restroom in a wooded area. Those on board claimed they pulled over and allowed her to step off the boat. They later stated they waited for a short period before leaving, but could not remember the exact location where she was left. They also said they did not realize she had not returned to the boat until much later.
Investigators are working to establish a clear timeline. A witness reportedly captured the group on video earlier that afternoon near a cliff-jumping area locally known as “Sex Rock,” around 2:20 p.m. Officials are now reviewing the time gap between that sighting and the moment the boat arrived back at the marina without Marly.
The boat operator, 23-year-old Cameron Conley, reported her missing. Authorities later arrested him for boating under the influence after he allegedly failed a sobriety test. Search teams have deployed boats, sonar, drones, K9 units, helicopters, and shoreline volunteers in an ongoing effort to locate Marly. She is described as 5’5”, approximately 125 pounds, with black hair, and was last seen wearing a pink, orange, and white bikini. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kentucky State Police or local authorities immediately.
